We don’t hire out mobility scooters ourselves, but, if you telephone 01253 405457, you can make arrangements to have one delivered and collected to suit your needs. You’ll find an accessible toilet at every toilet block around the zoo.
How long does Blackpool Zoo take?
It opens at 10:00 and the animal shows are approx every 45 minutes. They last until 3ish… over a year ago. I would say give yourselves 3-4 hours.

It’s currently home to our African lions and Amur tiger, although, slotted between them is our meerkat enclosure, always a popular destination!
Can you just turn up at Blackpool Zoo?
Members can visit after 2.30pm without having to pre-book. All you need to do is turn up with your valid Blackpool Zoo Membership Card after 2.30pm and you can enjoy the zoo until we close at 5.45pm (it’s also quieter)! If you’d like to visit before 2.30pm you’ll need to book online as normal.
