In order to operate the dryer safely, it must be grounded. And additional clamp or galvanized hose clamp or an 12-10 AWG ring terminal with a self drilling metal screw are needed. These are not things I have around the house. Customer service for this part (not shipped and supplied by Home Depot) was quite rude and very unhelpful.
